That's what I figured. Anyway, does anyone else think that this potential live show could involve that new version of Bostich that appeared in that Boris Blank interview a little while back? I get the feeling that this might be some sort of giant suite of classic Yello tracks & new material, lik...

Ultra Delores . That's an interesting title. I wonder what sort of album art would go with that (well, not quite as much as I'm wondering what sort of music would go with that). I'm half tempted to go to London (from Canda) just to see that...of course, all odds say I won't... :( ...wait, I mean :o...

i've recently found a 160kbps mp3-file of 'Bluehead', it's actually a raw mix of 'I.T. Splash'. I don't know anything about the origin of this file, but the quality of sound reminds an old 7'' single http://depositfiles.com/files/7963605 Thanks for the file. Do you have any other rare material? If ...

Is it the version with Dieter narrating a story? That one is indeed quite different, but it's already on the Claro Que Si remaster. In any case, I probably will pick the album up anyway (at the same time I get One Second).

New Mix in One Go

So, I've been buying the Yello albums in chronological order ( Stella should be arriving in the mail some time next week), one every four months or so. Next up would be New Mix in One Go , but I've listened to some of the track samples & I can't really pick out a difference between them & th...

I'm buying them in chronological order to track their evolution (though I'm considering buying their new album as soon as it comes out). Next up for me is Stella.

I wouldn't know, I've only gotten the first three albums so far (& heard some of the tracks with music videos).

Is Moon Dog one of those unreleased tracks? I never heard it. But, I personally have made some fairly convincing whale noise using slowed down samples of electrical squeals. I don't know what the Moon Dog ones sound like, though.

The "guess that Yello sound" thread

Does anyone else ever listen to Yello & try to figure out what Boris may have used to make a specific sound? I do, & thought it might be interesting if we shared our best guesses (or, if you are in the know, what it actually was) about specific sounds. Off the top of my head, here's some gue...

I heard somewhere that they want to release it around the end of the summer (which is also when I release my first album. Looks like they'll have some tough competition :) )

Indeed it is. My prediction is that "Distant Light", "Pacific Rim", & maybe "Umbria" will appear on the album (because they sound the most complete), & the other tracks are more of a preview of the style.

Oldest track?

Does anyone know what the oldest Yello track (including pre-Dieter Meier stuff) to ever get beyond the studio is?

Well, if it really is a full double album (and not, say, one new disk with a bonus disk of remixes), doesn't that make it kind of like getting two Yello albums at once? Yes, it's been five years since "The Eye", but when averaged it may only feel like two & a half.
