Desire!!!

One of my two first Yello-Songs I ever heard! Desire and Call it Love. I was a school boy in East-Berlin. These songs was played at a Westberlin Radiostation named RIAS. My Buddies liked Depeche Mode or Cure. They don't understood how I could hear such a "strange" music.

"Oh Yeah" is best, I think it's just psychedelic in some way...

"Desire" comes second by the way.

It just has to be Ciel Ouvert. The sounds, the build up, the magintude and power of the song makes me tremble.

Truly an awesome song.

Such a close call between 'Desire' and 'Stalakdrama', but I plumped for the latter in the end, just to bring a little perspective to the poll!

Stalakdrama is such an amazingly evocative instrumental, creepy and epic, and I felt it deserved some credit. :)

Oooh..

Always loved Domingo, with Desire being a close second. Never heard of that "Oh Yeah" track

My favorite is Desire, though Ciel Ouvert is a close second.

Though to be honest I think Stella is a rather weak album, especially Oh Yeah and Koladi-ola. The title of the latter is strangely similar to the words Kolóði Óli, which is Icelandic and means 'Crazy Óli', where Óli is a first name. :P

Bjossi,

Give it more time, this album will grow on you. Let me know once you get to listen Pocket Universe. I still think it is their supreme work, but I also love their 80's albums. However with older albums it takes longer to fully appreciate it as it is more bizarre (in a good way).

I've had my copy of Stella for many months now. It did grow on me over time but ultimately I don't find it quite as good as Baby. And the few songs I've heard off other albums are simply magical, especially Cyclops off Motion Picture.
