Yello Remaster Series Update

Postby JonKamm » Thu Sep 01, 2005 2:10 am

The list below that Jonas Wårstad gave us a few weeks ago will not change. These are the extra tracks that will be included with the Remaster series. Plus I got a price. £7.99 each. Thats roughly $14.33 or EUR11.73

So we can expect to shell out at least $100 for all six. I have no confirmation about a box set yet.

,Jonathan

amazon.co.uk preorders

Postby yagi » Tue Oct 11, 2005 4:07 am

I preordered the first five from amazon.co.uk for £34.00 + shipping (£6.80 per CD). They're predicting October 30th as the ship date.

Why not all six? Amazon UK says £7.99 each + shipping. Did you get a discount?

I did get a discount somehow, though it didn't show until I was checking out.

I didn't get Flag this time as I'm tired of hearing 'Tied Up' remixes. I'll pick it up another time when I'm back in the mood.

The Race (Break Light mix) on the new remasters is pretty awesome. I have the advance promo copy of all the albums now. Have all six in my 6 disc CD changer in the car. Just got Stella a couple days ago. So been listen to that a lot. "Wall Street Bongo" is a great remastered track the bongos sound so clear and strong. Great track to crank up.

A little birdy told me, and this is a very reliable birdy. That all the albums are going to be remastered. But Boris has not even started them yet so it will be a couple years I would imagine before we see any other remastered albums. But while we wait we do have the new album next year.

I noticed Universal has sound samples of all six remasters. Type Yello in search box then click arrow next to box.

Can anyone tell me if the remasters will be landing on US soil or not in the near future?

Yes we are in luck. "The Ideal Copy" a company out of LA has them at the cheapest price I have found anywhere in the world. Comes to $18.32 each this includes shipping. They will be released through them November first. I ordered mine through them a while ago. I am in the works of getting them to get the Box Set as well. They are very helpful and answer e-mails and your questions quickly.

If you are wanting to walk into a store and buy them. I would watch Borders. They have quite a big Yello catalog. There is a "Borders teamed with Amazon" site that lists the "Yello Remaster Series" It might be worth walking into your nearest "Borders" and asking them about the availabilty of the remasters. But be patient with them they will probably not have any idea what you are talking about so have them look it up "The Yello Remaster Series".

Hope that helps,
